So we made the best of it and built our oddly shaped snowman with just a tongue as a smile (Jack’s idea.. surprisingly not mine!)

Tonight, in the infinitesimal light of the stars,
The trees and flowers have been strewing their cool odors.
I walk among them, but none of them are noticing.
Sometimes I think that when I am sleeping
I must most perfectly resemble them—
Thoughts gone dim.
It is more natural to me, lying down.
Then the sky and I are in open conversation,
And I shall be useful when I lie down finally:
The the trees may touch me for once, and the flowers have time for me.

This Thanksgiving was fantastic.
-Ate way too much stuffing for my own good.
-Laughing at my brother talking about getting a glass of wine aka the sparkling wine.
-So much needed quality family time put in.
-So much Christmas shopping finished!
-Got to see Katie aka one of my best friends since the 2nd grade. Her Dad just had a heart attack, so it was really good that I got to spend time with her. She gave me my bridesmaid dress for her WEDDING in MAY (coming up SO soon)! & Lucky me, it fits like a glove.
Now we’re back at home, cozy as can be with our kittens (even though Duncan lost his freaking collar and I can’t find it anywhere). I’m just going to sit back and enjoy this night and play some fetch with Tucker (yes, he literally plays fetch; so awesome).
